Trinket is a short comedy skit between a store clerk
and an irritable woman. The script was written by Robert Mason and the
animation will be done by Chris Boyer. It is finished and took a bit over two months, enjoy.
Why make Trinket?
We at Dementia wanted to make some short skits to
build our confidence in claymation. Because we have never done this style of
animation a long series of tests, that are only tests, would not give us the
experience we need, the biggest difference between the claymation style and
stop motion using LEGOs is the ability to convey emotion with greater ease. So
we knew we needed to make a skit that would force us to take advantage of this
aspect. We have learned much about claymation since the start of the project,
some examples include the aluminum-epoxy armatures with wooden feet and our
pegboard floor system. After finishing this we plan to moving on to more
ambitious projects.
